Would you like to plan a trip with us?

Hi students! Are you ready to plan a trip?
Plan a trip
- Presupuesto de viaje. Travel budget
- Destino. Destination
- Reservar un vuelo. Book a flight
- Comprar boletos. Buy tickets
- Reservar alojamiento. Book accommodation
- Seguro de viaje. Travel insurance
- Reservar excursiones. Book excursions
- Empacar. To pack
- Agencia de viajes. Travel agency
- Aeropuerto. Airport
- Aduana. Customs
- Equipaje. Baggage
¡Ahora vamos a escuchar!
What is Sam doing?
- ¿Dónde va a ir? Where is he going?
- ¿Cuándo va a ir? When is he going?
- ¿Con quién va a ir? Who is he going with?
- ¿Dónde se quedará? Where will he stay?
Listen carefully. Escucha cuidadosamente.
First reading
Tom: What are you doing Sam?
Sam: Hi Tom, I’m very busy planning my next trip.
Tom: Nice! Where are you going?
Sam: I think my next destination will be the Dominican Republic.
Tom: That’s a wonderful place! I have traveled there twice. The first time, it was a disaster.
Sam: What happened? Don’t scare me!
Tom: We had some problems with our baggage at customs in the airport. Don’t worry, it was my mistake! When are you going?
Sam: In June 2022
Tom: That’s a perfect time to go to the Dominican! Who are you going with?
Sam: I’m going to travel alone. None of my friends can go with me.
Tom: It’s a bit expensive, right?
Sam: Yes, it is. Unfortunately, my travel budget is a bit limited. I need to save more money.
Tom: Maybe you can save money by booking a low-cost flight.
Sam: You’re right! By the way, I need to buy my tickets in advance.
Tom: What about accommodation? Where will you stay? Do you prefer an all-inclusive hotel or rent a house?
Sam: I’m planning to book accommodations after buying tickets, but I will stay in an all-inclusive hotel, for sure!
Tom: Well, in that case, you don’t need to book excursions!
Sam: That’s right, and I will use that money for my travel insurance. You’ll never know when you will need travel insurance.
Tom: That’s true. Sometimes planning a trip can be stressful but in the end, you will enjoy it a lot.
Sam: Sure. If I find it too difficult I think I will do it with the help of a travel agency.
Tom: A travel agency is very helpful, and it lets you enjoy the whole experience. You’ll only worry about packing your bags!
Sam: Exactly, that sounds perfect!
Excellent! ¡Excelente!
What is Sam doing?

Última pregunta, ¿Dónde se quedará? Where will he stay?

How many times has Tom traveled to the Dominican Republic?

See you next time!
